Crosley CAHE12ER heat and cool room air conditioner puts out 11,800 BTU's an hour cooling and 11,000 BTU's of supplemental heating via heat strips, for an area up to 640 square feet.
This window unit has an easy-mount installation, which includes side louvers and a slide out chassis for safe installation and service - no special tools needed and no mess in your room. Flush-mount design that allows draperies to hang freely to maintain the room decor, and a slide out chassis for ease of installation and service.
The quiet and energy saving has a low voltage startup, timer, and sleep mode. Fully featured with temperature sensing remote control function, and and an exhaust control and fan only setting for removing stale air and circulating fresh, outdoor air.
The easy access filter helps remove dust and other foreign particles from the air. Just slide out for easy cleaning. The unit has a 5 ft power cord and is an Energy Star model with an EER rating of 9.8. Power-saver control that automatically turns off the compressor and fan when the selected temperature is reached and turns back on when needed.

Please keep these factors in mind: - The BTU is calculated for normal sun exposure, two normal-sized windows per room, and two people occupying the air conditioned area. Add 600 BTU for each additional person over two occupying that area.
- For best cooling, a slightly undersized unit (no more than 10% under) will result in greater dehumidifying efficiency as the unit will operate continuously, whereas larger unit will run intermittently.
- If the unit is to be used for nighttime cooling only, an air conditioner with up to 30% less capacity may be used.
- Add 4,000 BTU if the area to be cooled includes a kitchen.
- If the area to be cooled is over 2300 sq. ft., it is recommended that more than one unit be used.
- Heat/cool units are designed for supplemental heat only - not your primary heat source.
